A very first introduction to Finnish. No pre-requisite knowledge.

This is a 12 week taster class for people who want to learn a little bit of Finnish, perhaps in order to decide if they would like to pursue actually studying it, or to learn just a little bit before a visit. Barb isn't a native or fluent speaker - she's studied 4 semesters of Finnish at the U of MN. We'll learn some basic vocabulary, how to conjugate the simplest verbs in the present tense, and a few of the grammatical cases. We'll also talk about the available local and online Finnish courses and resources for those who would like to study more.

No textbook; We'll use free online resources.
